Earlier in our relationship a phrase Judy and I often used was "I love you though". It meant "Even though I do not agree with or understand you right now, I still love you very much." It was our signal, signifying "because my love for you is greater than this present difficulty, let's keep on working on this until we get it worked out."
After more than 45 years of marriage, "Love You SO" has done away with "love you though". "I love you 'so', the 'though' doesn't matter".
Similarly, my love for my Lord.
51 years ago I would say to our Lord something like: "I love you though I don't understand how a loving Lord can hate Esau; how a "Dove" can knock Saul off his horse to the ground and blind him; how the Bright and Morning Star can hide Himself in darkness, especially when I need His light the most; how one who hates divorce so much is Himself divorced; how unlimited power can and would limit Himself; and more, much more.
But now "love you SO" has done away with "love you though". I no longer demand to understand. Your Holy Spirit helps me love you even when you operate outside my understanding of Your Book.
